World Food Day was established by FAO's member countries at the 20th General Conference of the organization in November 1979. The Hungarian delegation, headed by former Hungarian Minister of agriculture and food, Dr. Pál Romány has played an active role at the twentieth session of the FAO Conference and suggested the idea of the celebration of the WFD worldwide. Then they observed each year in more than 150 countries, to raise awareness about the problems of hunger and poverty.

World Food Day, Its because of Food.This is the prime reason of the day. Actually what is  Food? Food is any substance eaten to provide nutritional support for the body. This tends to be of vegetable or animal origin and contains important nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals. The substance ingested by the body and assimilated the body's cells to produce energy, maintain life or stimulate growth.

Historically, persons insured food through two methods: hunting and gathering and agriculture. Today most of the energy consumed by the food industry of the world's population.
