After her birth, when she was 11, her family turned to Bangalore in India. Her father name is Mr, Prakash Padukone who is a retired and renowned Badminton player having International reputation. Her mother is a travel agent. In her early career, when she reads in primary level, she played badminton but she has none interest towards badminton playing.

She was selected by a cosmetic company named 'Maybelline' as  an International spokesperson. She was awarded model of the year in Kingfisher fusion Awards, she also selected as a Brand ambassador of 'Kingfisher Airlines'.

By acting 'Kannada' film, Deepika made her debut in Cine world. After her acting a cinema named 'Om shanti Om', with King khan(Shahrukh khan), she got a award of 'Filmfare best female debut', she also got a surprising award named 'Filmfare best actress nomination'. By acting only 2 films , in her begining career of cinema, she got tremendous fame from everywhere. Mr, Taran who serve in indiaFM said, 'Deepika has all it takes to be a top star- the personality, the looks and yes, she is supremely talented too'. She acting with Ranbir kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno film. In January 2009, she acts a film named 'Chandni chowk to China, the film was directed by Mr, Nikhil Advani.
The film named 'Love aaj kal' released on 31st july 2009 acting by Deepika. she continuously acting many films such as Billu, Housefull, Lafangey parindey, khelein hum jee jaan sey and so on. A film song name 'Hare rama Hare krishna' was a remixed version song of her.
